Chief Executive Officer

Scott Popilek is a dedicated insurance professional with a true love for the industry. He has more than 30 years of experience with numerous leadership roles throughout his career.

He most recently served as the Atlantic Region Leader at Risk Strategies, where he successfully expanded operations across multiple markets. He brings extensive brokerage experience, strong strategic acumen, and a proven record of execution that will help drive King Risk Partners’ continued growth and long-term success.

Joel Eubank

Chief Operating Officer

Joel Eubank brings more than two decades of experience in finance, operations, and strategic leadership in the insurance sector, most recently serving as COO and CFO of Dealer Services at Brown & Brown Insurance. During his tenure at Brown & Brown, he held multiple leadership roles spanning acquisition integration, finance, and operations—developing a reputation for delivering performance through disciplined execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Joel is passionate about educating and developing future leaders. He has a track record of building outstanding teams equipped to accomplish lofty goals through collaboration and strategic alignment. Joel started his career at a local independent agency where he began learning all facets of the industry from sales and prospecting to systems and automation and beyond. Since that time, Joel has maintained a belief that opportunities abound for continually improving ourselves and our organizations.

Howard Weiss

Chief Growth Officer

Howard Weiss brings nearly three decades of experience in insurance, leadership, and business development, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Carrier Relationships at AssuredPartners. Throughout his career, Weiss has established a strong track record of driving growth and transforming sales organizations. He was instrumental in rapidly scaling the Chicagoland business and, as a regional sales leader, partnered with local leaders to reset the Midwest sales culture—shifting the region from negative organic trends to sustained positive growth within a few years.

Known as a hands-on and respected leader, Weiss has extensive expertise in building and managing sales teams, designing sales strategies, recruiting top producers, developing training programs, and strengthening relationships with underwriters and trading partners.

Ali Omar

Chief Financial Officer

Ali Omar leads King Risk's financial strategy ensuring excellence in reporting and compliance through organizational discipline and internal controls, while collaborating within the organization to deliver long-term growth and profitability. He began his career in public accounting, supporting audit and assurance for complex organizations, before transitioning into consulting, where he advised clients on financial reporting, process optimization, and system modernization. Ali later moved into senior finance leadership roles, most recently leading finance within private-equity backed environments. Over the past eight-plus years, he has developed deep experience in scaling high-growth businesses, managing integrations, building finance infrastructures from the ground up, and driving value creation initiatives. His specialties include finance transformation, M&A integration, operational efficiency, data and systems modernization, and building high-performing teams.

Known for his positive, people-first leadership style, Ali emphasizes clarity, communication, and collaboration. He is committed to creating an environment where teams feel supported, aligned, and empowered to deliver results. His approach balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring the organization moves with speed, confidence, and accountability toward its goals.
