In 1974, Malcolm King, Sr. founded King Insurance based on the guiding philosophy of his life: Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, for all the people you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, as long as you can. To this day, that remains our core focus and mission.
The King Insurance family of companies has grown to include insurance agencies throughout the State of Florida, offering clients better service, enhanced accuracy and lower prices. In short, King Insurance does it faster than anyone, does it right the first time, and saves you money.
About Chad King
A Gainesville native, Chad attended Oak Hall High School, where he played basketball. He was one of 25 players in the state nominated for Florida Mr. Basketball. He also played baseball, and was drafted to play professionally by the Cincinnati Reds. Rather than pursue professional baseball, Chad elected to attend the University of Kansas on a baseball scholarship. He was two-time team captain of his alma mater’s baseball team.
After earning a B.A. in Business from the University of Kansas in 1999, Chad moved to Jacksonville, where he earned his MBA from the University of North Florida while working at Merrill Lynch. In 2002, he was offered a position at Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles and spent six years there. In 2008, Chad returned to Gainesville. Today, he owns and oversees King Insurance, the agency his father founded. He is married to his college sweetheart, and now enjoys time with his family that includes a daughter and two sons.
